Several years ago, God placed a desire in Allison’s heart to help people with horses. With the generous support of her husband and kids, parents and their herd of horses and a key partnership with Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy, Allison founded Grace Therapeutic Riding in 2019. Through PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship), Allison is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL). Allison is grateful to see participants and horses grow into who God has created them to be.

Allison’s love and appreciation of horses spans her lifetime, and she shared that love with her Dad, the late Bob Vermeer.  In her younger years, Allison rode and competed in the American Saddlebred arena and won two World Championships. She has always enjoyed trail rides with her Dad and continues to enjoy trail rides with her sister, kids, family and friends.  Allison enjoys time with her family and any outdoor activities - skiing, golf, tennis, walking, and gardening.
